NEW HALL ART COLLECTION AWARD FOR BEST WALL LABEL

Since its beginnings in 1986, the New Hall Art Collection at University of Cambridge's Murray Edwards College has been championing female artists. It is now the largest all-women modern and contemporary art collection of Europe. Behind this impressive achievement is a highly creative team that keeps the Collection humming on a day-to-day basis. When they announced a contest for imaginative temporary wall labels in response to artworks in the Collection, I proposed a label for the intriguing painting of Ines de Castro by Dame Paula Rego. Right now, I am bursting with excitement because it has just been selected as the winner and will therefore be on display! If you plan to check it out, also take a look at my own ink drawing titled 'Delight'. This drawing will be exhibited alongside Rego's painting during Cambridge Girl Talk 's pop up Art Exhibition from 25 until 28 January. — January 2019
