A L E Y D I S N I S S E N
Hello. My name is Aleydis. I am a F.R.S.-FNRS senior researcher fellow at the Centre de Droit International of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the coordinator of the course 'women's rights' at Leiden University. I am also a member of the Flemish Housing Fund's Board of Directors and of the Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors & Accountants' Sustainability Working Group.
Cambridge University Press published my book "The European Union, Emerging Global Business and Human Rights". This book operates between numerous complex legal orders. Apart from international and EU law perspectives, the book integrates (field) studies covering global value chains: floriculture in Kenya and the Netherlands and electronics in South Korea and France. The European Journal of International Law, the Chicago Journal of International Law and the Business and Human Rights Journal (CUP) also published my work. I conducted, amongst others, historical and feminist critical discourse analysis for these publications.
I was a visiting researcher at Seoul National University's Graduate School of International Studies and the University of Oxford's Centre for Socio-Legal Studies.
