A L E Y D I S N I S S E N
Hello. My name is Aleydis. I am a senior research fellow at the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Centre de Droit International) and an assistant professor in public international law at the University of Antwerp. I am also a member of the Flemish Housing Fund's Board of Directors.
Cambridge University Press published my book "The European Union, Emerging Global Business and Human Rights". This book operates between complex legal orders. Apart from international and European law perspectives, the book integrates (field) studies covering global value chains: floriculture in Kenya and the Netherlands and electronics in South Korea and France. The European Journal of International Law (OUP), Chicago Journal of International Law, Journal of Human Rights Practice (OUP), European Journal of Risk Regulation (CUP), Medical Law Review (OUP) and Business and Human Rights Journal (CUP) are some of the journals that published my work.
My research has been featured in The Independent, The Diplomat and The Huffington Post. I was a visiting researcher at Seoul National University and the University of Oxford.
